Earlier in january we reported about the chinese manufacturer Xiaomi announcing its latest budget smartphone.
Xiaomi in january announced Redmi 2 smartphone which is set to replace the its predecessor Redmi 1S.
Now Xiaomi have launched the new Redmi 2 in India which would be available from 24th March via flash sales on Flipkart.
Redmi 2 shares some of the features and design from the Redmi 1S but the hardware features are now bumped up to new heights for a budget smartphone.
The Redmi 2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit Quad core processor coupled with 1GB RAM which makes it ready for the full use of Android Lollipop in future.
Redmi 2 consists of 8MP BSI Rear camera with 5 element lens and 2MP front camera.
The smartphone comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage with expandable storage of 32GB.
There is also other Redmi 2 variant which comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory which will launched in India later this year.
The smarphone is backed by 2200mAh battery which is slightly higher than 2000mAh in its predecessor.
